What is the EmfViewer

The EmfViewer is actually two programs, one for Internet Explorer and one for Mozilla/Netscape browsers. The EmfViewer downloads, reads, and shows Enhanced Metafiles inside a Web browser on Windows machines.

This chart makes ridiculously low assumptions about the cost and time needed to develop the Emf Viewer. It assumes a programmer is paid $15/hour, takes 100 hours developing the IE control, and takes 100 hours developing the Netscape Plug-in. The yearly cost is for a Digital Certificate so that IE will download the control. Even with these ridiculously low assumptions, it would still take 29 years for the return on investments to balance out.
